The Pioneer of Long Trail in Japan
The Shin-Etsu Trail opened in 2005 as Japan's first full-scale long trail hiking course.
More than 30,000 hikers come to the trail annually while being kept clean at all times, such as maintenance of signposts and mowing by many volunteers. A place is a jungle, a place is an agricultural road for local farmers, a place is a marsh, a place is a ruin of history.
A trail that covers 80 km in length is indeed placed in various environments and it will not make you get bored with walking things.
